Location

Mt Lyell Anchorage is located near the centre of Queenstown, the largest town in Tasmania’s Western Wilderness. Queenstown is recognised by its contrasting landscape of rugged hills and lush green World Heritage rainforest. Its rich mining heritage is evident and today many of its 2500 residents are still employed within the mining industry.

Queenstown is located:

  • 45 minutes drive from Strahan
  • 4 hours drive from Hobart
  • 2 hours drive from Cradle Mountain National Park or Burnie
  • 2 hours drive from Lake St Clair National Park
  • 3.5 hours drive from Launceston
  • 3 hours drive from Devonport

The Anchorage is situated within 200 metres of the town’s cafes, supermarkets and key attractions.
